Spring racing carnival is one of the years top events in Melbourne! Everyone loves going to the races, we all love getting dressed up and feeling like royalty for the day, having a flutter and hopefully taking home a winner’s smile at the end of the day!
So in this blog post I’m going to pick out some gorgeous hairstyles for men and women to try at this years carnival.
for our men
First is a men’s style that you’ll see all around the streets of Melbourne right now. I really like this look, I like the way it’s faded up through the sides and the line is shaved in to make it more noticeable. And for a more dapper race day style simply use a comb to create a sleek finish.
Next I’ve chosen a sophisticated-sexy style that is perfect for men who have longer hair. All you need is a hair styling product that is pliable but also has a good hold factor and you’re ready to go racing!
Unsure about your styling products? Check out our men’s product styling blog post here.
Not forgetting about the men who have natural curls, this style is perfect for men who embrace their curls and are happy to let them do their thing. Using the right amount of the right products to suit your hair type makes it easier to achieve all these looks.
I love this style! It would be perfect for ladies who want their hair to be up but still noticeable when taking pictures. To achieve this type of style your hair length will need to be at least to your shoulder, otherwise a sneaky clip-in hair extension or two can make the magic happen. I also love the fascinator, it’s noticeable but in a subtle way.
This next style is for girls with long hair, girls who love their curls. As you can see it’s swept over to one side and the curls will flow over your shoulder. I also like the fascinator and where it’s placed in the hair, it’s perfect positioning to show off this gorgeous hairstyle!
Finally, a hairstyle for girls with very short hair. I like it because it has some height to the front but then it’s very slick and combed back, creating a very stylish and feminine shape. The fascinator works perfectly with the hairstyle, it’s a focal point and complimentary to the hair rather than being a large centerpiece.
I hope you’re as excited about the races this year as I am! I would love to create some of these styles for you to stand out from the race day crowd. Contact me with any styling questions or click here to book your race day hair appointment with me!
