Spring hair colour trends

Spring is here and winter is but a distant memory, so it’s time to freshen things up and revive our hair colour. The flowers are in bloom and it’s a great time to spice things up and add a little colour to your life.

Don’t be scared, sometimes the smallest of changes can have a really big and positive impact on our self image, and it’s the perfect time of year for it! The sun is shining, but actually it’s just reflecting the glow from your newly found confidence! 🙂

Enjoying the sun

Here are some hair colouring ideas that the Mars & Venus Hair team LOVE this season!

Have you got an old, last year balayage or ombre hair colour going on??? It’s really easy to freshen up this look with a little tone, be it caramel, red, pastel or a combination of tones. You have a great base to play with and you can dip your toe into a new zone with a low risk semi-permanent colour to add a little tone and lots of shine like these two gorgeous examples:

spring hair colour 2.3

If you’re a blondie, how about mixing up your colour with a slight tonal change? Here’s a few examples of what I mean, the first one is a gorgeous soft steely blonde. And the second one has created the opposite effect through the introduction of some warmer tones in blonde hair.

Both are stunning and perfectly selected tones for the skin tone of the girls. Ask your hairdresser if you’re unsure of best palette for your skin tone.

This next look is amazing for more of a radical change to blonde hair!

This gorgeous peachy tone is really popular this season and is perfect for girls that are ready to mix things up a bit but don’t want to go down the pastel turquoise, violet or pink road this spring (pastels aren’t going anywhere this season and this is a great step into the pastel zone).

This beautiful colour can also be achieved using semi-permanent toner over blonde hair, so there’s no need to be nervous, it doesn’t have to be a long-term commitment to this tone if you don’t want it to be.

And here are my last two inspirational hair colours for Spring 2014;

Spring hair colour 6.1
Spring hair colour 8.1
This is one of my personal faves!

I love the cool brunette tones and the soft progression of colour that creates effortless shine and movement.

What do you think? Do you love these colours as much as I do?

Whatever your hair needs are this season, you must book an appointment with me at Mars & Venus Hair! I would love to look after you and your locks!
